SUMMER TIME BLUES
By me
Well as all vacation must come to an end, mine just did. So now the summer time blues are setting in. fear boredom lack of inspiration, all these are symptoms of the dreaded disease. But I have found the cure. Instead of doing the things you do when you’re on vacation why not Wright about what you did. So that is what I tried to do, and this is what happened:
(Caution all or partially all contents of this …article are extremely exaggerated. Take all these stories with a pinch of salt and a shot of vodka.)
Vacation time, yippee!!! Time to surf the waves, ride the current and get very very tired. (Of course I mean rested.) My life seems to have taken a leap forward and my body feels ten years older (I mean younger.) so we arrive at our beautiful, shining and shimmering…. Camp ground… (Me to crew: Excuse me I thought it was supposed to be a resort or something not a camp ground. Crew to me: well we are trying to tell the story as it happened…Me: oh well that will have to do.)
So we arrive at our …. Wonderful campground… ( crew to me: it was a state park actually Me to crew I know that but they don’t need to know that crew to me: but you are supposed to tell it like it happened Me: fine) I mean our wonderful state park which is a campground but it is state park so you can’t camp in the campground but you can because it’s a camp ground…understand??? Any hue, so we arrive set up camp and… (Crew to me: don’t try and lie, tell the truth) … fine… and go… (Crew: to sleep.) (Me to Crew: you know you really are cramping my style, could you like shut it, savvy?) Well we wake up the next morning to a ripe and ready day. So we get up eat read and are off for a fun and exciting day at the beach. Well as the day goes surfing ten foot waves… playing ultimate Frisbee on burning hot sand…and wonder of all wonders getting very salty… though I have no idea how. (Crew to me yes you do me to crew: I said to shut it Crew: sorry) okay so we go back and yeah yeah it has rained and all our stuff got soaked. Crum an a half… so we rearrange… distribute precious dry bedding … and settle down for the night… when out of the night comes… a great big… (Crew to me: don’t even try it me to crew: oh come on just one little lie Crew: no me oh well)… comes a great big… rain cloud. So all our still dry stuff gets…soaked. Well life goes on and we enjoy another day at the beach… night falls…very wet people fall asleep… and wake the next morning to go to a…amusement park!!! Spend a day… exhausting themselves… get horse voices…sore muscles… and tired eyes. Go back sleep in rain and mud. And then go to beach and…. Play…mini golf. Woaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Spend last day rocking out and shouting balls… then go back spend night watching pirates and ships. The end comes all too quickly for our band of fun loving people and our vacation has ended. Or has it???

Why I chose the life I’m living?
---By me.
I just read a very distasteful article about the lifestyle I choose to live. Not only did this person totally dis every aspect of the life I love but he made it his business to speak for me with words and that were neither true, nor the way I thought. So I have decided to answer this “wonderful” article with one of my own I hope you don’t mind. Okay so this life isn’t for every body and yes there are flaws in this life style just like in every single life style out there. Whether you’re a bum and professional athlete a rock start or just an average Joe bloe who just manages to scrape out a living for himself you will face problems and difficulties. That’s part of life that’s part of the cruelty of this world, and that’s part of the learning process of this package deal of life. So don’t point the finger at my way of doing things because there’s four more pointing back at your way. Now is missionary life a hard deal? I’ll be the first to answer with a definite yes. Is it and easy hunky dory road to follow? I will be the one to answer with a whole hearted no. but I will not say it is not a thrilling and exciting life. How many people do you know who are not missionaries that have been to over four continents and have been to countless countries all in the span of fifteen years? How many people do you know that can speak at least three languages? I can guarantee you not very many. I choose this life because i love change, I love to have variety. Sure living in a house with twenty three people is not always easy but it sure is fun to meet new people. Discover people who are not your family. To meet the challenge of getting along with several different personalities. To learn to face each new challenge with a different approach tailor made for each person. I choose this life because I love waking up in morning and knowing that this day will hold brand new challenges, experiences, and happenings. I love waking up and knowing that each day something new is going to happen that will not be the same. Granted just like everyone else there re things that happen just the same things I have to do that I will have to do each and every day. But still the thrill of knowing that today is a brand new day keeps me on an up beat tune. Why do I choose the life I have? Because I love it.
